This notice must be posted at a prominent and conspicuous place at the township office, so that it is visible to the public for the entire time it is posted, at least 18 hours prior to the time of the meeting.


If the township maintains a website that is updated at least monthly with meeting agendas or minutes, this notice must also be posted on that website at least 18 hours prior to the time of the meeting. (MCL 15.265)

Notice of Annual Budget Meeting

The Arthur Township Board will hold a Public Hearing on the proposed township budget for the fiscal year 2020-21 at the:
Arthur Township Hall
3031 S. Athey Ave
Clare, MI 48617
On Monday, March 30, 2020 6:00 PM
The property tax millage rate proposed to be levied in support of the proposed budget will be a subject of the hearing. A copy of the proposed budget has been posted at the Arthur Township Hall and can also be viewed here
Pursuant to Governor Whitmer’s “Stay Home, Stay Safe” Executive Order (2020-21) the public will not be allowed to attend this meeting. The finalized approved budget for 2020-21 will be posted on the bulletin board at the hall and will also be posted to the Arthur Township website.

Election Inspectors Needed

With the upcoming elections in March, August and November 2020, Arthur Township is in need of Election Inspectors.

Registered voters interested in serving as election inspectors must submit an election inspector application to the township clerk. In addition to your name, address and date of birth, applicants must include their political party preference and qualifications to fill the position such as education or experience.

An inspector must be a registered voter of the State. It is not a requirement to be a registered voter in Arthur Township to serve as an election inspector for the township. The election inspector cannot be a challenger, candidate, member of a candidate’s immediate family, or a member of the local Board of Canvassers. Anyone convicted of a felony or an election crime may not serve.
