The Arthur Township Board will hold a Public Hearing on the proposed township budget for the fiscal year 2022-2023 at the:

On Monday, March 14, 2022 6:30 PM

The property tax millage rate proposed to be levied in support of the proposed budget will be a subject of the hearing. A copy of the proposed budget may be viewed by contacting the Clerk.

MEETING SCHEDULE

THE ARTHUR TOWNSHIP BOARD OF REVIEW FOR MARCH 2022 will be held at:

The Arthur Township March Board of Review will meet on the following dates:

Tuesday March 8, 2022 at 6:00 pm Organizational meeting

Monday March 14, 2022 at 9:00 am to 3:00 pm Appeal Hearing

Wednesday March 16, 2022 at 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm Appeal Hearing

The Board of Review will meet as many more days as deemed necessary to hear questions, protests, and to equalize the 2022 assessments. Taxpayers are able to protest by letter, E-mail, or in person. Letter or E-mail must be received by March 14, 2022. Letters must be mailed to Bill Strouse 8164 E. Washington Rd. Clare, MI, 48617 or E-mail billstrouse@ispmgt.com

            The Planning Commission of Arthur Township will conduct a public hearing at a meeting of the Planning Commission on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. at the Arthur Township Hall, 3031 S. Athey Avenue, Clare, MI 48617, for the purpose of discussing a request for a Special Use Permit submitted by Samuel Troyer, concerning land located at 4788 S. Bailey Lake Rd (Parcel No. 012-027-400-05) (the “Property”).  The applicant is requesting a Special Use Permit to use the Property for a commercial purpose to operate a sawmill in the Township’s AG / RR – Agricultural / Rural Residential Zoning District.  The Planning Commission may also consider any other business that comes before it. 

The Township will receive written comments concerning the request for a Special Use Permit at the Arthur Township Hall, 3031 S Athey Avenue, Clare, MI 48617.  Comments must be received by the Township prior to the start of the public hearing on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at 6:00 p.m.
