NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING AND PUBLIC HEARING ON AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE ARTHUR TOWNSHIP ZONING ORDINANCE
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a Special Meeting and Public Hearing of the Arthur Township Planning Commission will be held on January 28, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., at the Arthur Township Hall, located at 3031 S. Athey Ave, Clare, Michigan 48617.
At this meeting, the Planning Commission will consider and hold a public hearing on a proposed ordinance amending the Arthur Township Zoning Ordinance to repeal current Section 8.17.1 (Large-Scale Solar Energy Systems). The Planning Commission may make a recommendation to the Township Board concerning this proposed ordinance and consider any other business that comes before the Planning Commission.
Copies of the proposed ordinance amendment may be examined at the Arthur Township Hall during regular business hours or by appointment. Written comments concerning the proposed ordinance amendment may be submitted to the Arthur Township Clerk at the address listed below. Written comments must be received by the Township prior to the start of the public hearing.
This notice is given in compliance with Public Act 267 of 1976, as amended (Michigan Open Meetings Act), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and Public Act 246 of 1945.
Arthur Township will provide reasonable auxiliary aids and services to individuals with disabilities upon reasonable notice to the Township. Requests for such accommodations should be made to the Township Clerk.
